The 10 Loftiest Side-Hustles You Can Rely On

We live in a world where these safe 9–6 jobs drive the love of freshly squeezed green juice to bet our lives on it. The biggest mistake we make is we depend upon money advancing from one source alone. If this one root becomes drought, oh boy we’re screwed.

Well, recessions happen; companies have financial troubles; layoffs can occur; bad leaders can be promoted to the title of “your boss” — there are so many unknowns. Would you bet your life on red, on the roulette wheel at your local casino? Of course not.

“Never depend on a single income.” — Warren Buffet

The truth is, there are countless ways to earn money. Why don’t we take advantage of it?

Maybe it’s the response that we’re afraid of. It could be the reaction of those friends who’ve studied to become engineers, so they see no point in having multiple streams of income. And they’re partially right. They’ll be making enough money to relax and do what they’ve always dreamed of — that is until life happens.

It doesn’t matter how much revenue is contrived. It is always smart (and safe) to create multiple streams of income.

Some of the strategies listed below offer a quick fix for earning some money, others will take a sizable investment of your time. Either way, select a method that fits within your skill set and ensure that you deliver a serious amount of value. Also to remember that there is much more than these following 10 hustles to rely on.

#10. Food/Product Demonstration

Are you a foodie? Do you love to cook? Many grocery stores, product manufacturers, and specialty retailers hire part-time workers to demonstrate recipes and provide product tastings. If you’ve got kitchen skills, consider using them to earn some extra money.

#9. Fitness Instructor

Do you spend a lot of time at the gym? Becoming a fitness instructor is a way to get paid for sharing your healthy lifestyle. Depending on your skill set, you could provide individual instruction as a personal trainer or teach a group of classes.

#8. Create Youtube Tutorials

Although this isn’t the quickest way you can make money with a side income, creating YouTube tutorials can help you earn a respectable amount of income as long as what you deliver is engaging and keeps people interested for long enough. You could also use free tutorials to upsell viewers on the products and services you might be offering.

#7. Tonsorial Artist

Believe it or not, coiffeurs make better money than you think. If you really enjoy the art of hairstyling or concentring makeup and dressing up people you can buckle down for this. Times have changed and there are always weddings and events in every corner. And you know, people want to look good to just to post on their Instagram.

#6. Create an Online Course

Create an online course with a platform like Udemy or Teachable and leverage some of your skills to create a healthy income. Depending upon how much time you invest in your course, you could make a substantial side revenue stream by creating courses that deliver tremendous amounts of value.

#5. Copywriter

Copywriters produce content for a wide range of publications including websites, books, magazines, advertisements, songs, television, and movie scripts. On a freelance basis, writers and authors may be contracted into a company for their expertise within a specific field.

#4. Tutoring over the weekends

If you’re good at programming or any technology you could work as a part-time mentor and teach students. It could be Quantitative Aptitude also, with these CAT/SAT/XAT or say with Banking examination everywhere this will easily fetch you up with a good windfall. The best part is you will get to learn a lot and meet different kinds of people with their aspirations (of course! I meant in an institute).

#3. Handcraft & Sell on Amazon or simply Sell items on eBay

Handcraft expresses a wide variety of types of work where useful and decorative things are made usually by hand. You can sell them with a tap on the Amazon application. Another one of the surest ways you can make cash if you’re in a bound state is to sell items on eBay. Any used items like furniture, household appliances, collectibles or anything else that you’re just not using or is collecting dust, can be sold online to make some money.

#2. Deliver for Swiggy/Uber Eats/ Dunzo

Still don’t know how to expertise your skills but in need of money? Nothing to worry. With the owning of two-wheelers just take up your Driving Licence, Pan Card, Bank Account number and you have to visit any Swiggy/Uber/Dunzo office. Yep! You’re hired and you can make more money easily than the above hypothesis.

#1. Drive for Uber/Ola

One of the most widely available ways of making money is to drive for Uber. The sharing economy has quite literally exploded, and Uber is really at the forefront, especially with the introduction of the two-wheeler drives now. The best part? You can turn on and off your availability through these networks with the simple click of a button, effectively allowing you to make money no matter what time of day or night it is.

Creating two sources of income, will do away with what you don’t need, reduce your subscriptions, invest like Buffett, read books, use social media to build an audience, make better food choices, delete fear-based news, audit your network, schedule time off and experiment with freelancing.

We just have to take the risk of being outside the norm.

Thank you for reading. I’m always looking for new ways to learn, if you do have any more ideas please don’t hesitate to share. I’d love to hear it.
